daniele jost

Daniele Stirpe, in art Daniele Jost , born in Rome in 1981.
He obtained a diploma at the IV Liceo Artistico of Rome.
He attended the Academy of Art in Rome, which he gave up in order to freely delve into the subjects he liked most.
After being attracted to analog photography for a while, he deepened it and, together with his interest in architecture and social spaces, he began with the street art to come to urban installation, documentative and expressive photography.
During the last years Daniele Jost developed various projects in disparate fields: Video as an instrument of action in live-performance or for making animated videoclips; Graphic art and digital photography for publishing, advertising, magazine projects: Scenography and sculpture in terms of entertainment, cinema or for installation on the territory. However, photography is still fundamental inhis works, arbitrarily placed beside digital manipulation, design, stage and performance act.
In 2003 he started the collaboration with Altrilavoriincorso art gallery in Rome.
In 2005 his first solo exhibition – “nell’era della polvere” – Altrilavoriincorso art gallery in Rome.
In various collective “Unmediated” – Sergio Tossi Gallery (Florence 2005), “Arterritory” – Centrale Montemartini (Rome 2006), “Seme” – Art Track Gallery (Gent, 2007), “Micromega” – Halles S.Gery (Bruxelles, 2009).
At the moment, he lives and works in Rome.
